“Spioner” og snik-installasjon av reklame

Symptomer på infisert PC…
Går PC-en din tregere enn før? Er du plaget av uendelige popups? Da kan nettopp din PC være infisert av enten virus, Spyware, eller Adware. Oppkobling mot Internet og start av Internet Explorer er blitt tregere, reklame og popups dukker opp uten at du har klikket på noe, oppstart og generell bruk av programmer er tregere enn før, nye søkevinduer har dukket opp i nettleseren din, du har aldri tidligere sjekket PC-en for Spyware eller Adware. Noen av de mest vanlige sikkerhetstruslene PC-brukere står ovenfor i dag er Spyware, Adware og virus. Fellesbetegnelsen for alle disse programmene er at de er uønsket og plagsomme for brukeren.

Spyware – stjeler kredittkort-informasjon, passord etc…
Dette er programvare som er spesielt laget for å stjele informasjon fra din PC. Spyware kan stjele kredittkort-informasjon, brukernavn og passord, eller informasjon om dine surfevaner. Det er ikke vanskelig å skjønne at Spyware faktisk utgjør en stor trussel, spesielt med tanke på at store deler av norske PC-brukere faktisk er infisert med en eller annen form for Spyware. Legg også merke til at Spyware er konstruert på en slik måte at den er svært vanskelig å oppdage uten rett programvare installert.

Adware – masse reklame og treg PC…
Dette er, på lik linje med Spyware, programvare som blir lagt inn uten at brukeren selv nødvendigvis er klar over dette. I motsetning til Spyware vil ikke Adware spionere på deg eller stjele informasjon fra deg. Adware har til hensikt å sende deg store mengder med uønsket reklame. Dette er først og fremst et stort irritasjonsmoment, men resulterer også i at PC og internettforbindelsen oppleves mye tregere enn før.

Virus – PC’en blir ubrukelig…
Et PC-virus er et program som kjører på din PC og som vanligvis utfører en eller annen uønsket operasjon. Eksempler kan være sletting av filer, stjeling av ressurser eller sending av e-poster til andre tilfeldige brukere på Internett. PC-virus spres vanligvis gjennom e-postvedlegg, nettverk eller filer lastet ned fra Internett. Vær også oppmerksom på at Spyware kan stenge av antivirus og brannmur programmer slik at virus og hackere kan passere fritt inn på ditt system.
